The Wreck Today: Today, the charred remains of the Persian lay near the deepest part of Lake Erie in 195 feet of water.  She has a huge boiler and engine and her prop sticks prominently out of the bottom.  There is often a current at this site.
This dive is beyond the limits of sport diving as defined by all major certifying agencies.  It should only be attempted by very experienced divers with specialized equipment and training for depths in excess of sport diving limits.
